about

Midlife crisis? I’m not going to reflect too much on these lyrics. It might be interesting to myself to hear again 5 or 10 years from now. I used a guitarnoise with a EH Graphic Fuzz and Hardwire RV-7 with a reverse reverb (I used this too in 3,4, and 5; in 5 with the Tremolator)

lyrics

I would have liked to see you grow up
be there when everything is new
and take you to your first school and help you with your homework and
whatever daddies are supposed to do
Step into my fathers footprints
and grow old with my wife
go on to see the grandkids
the circle of life

I was raised to be a failure
I was told not to succeed
She could do anything
"don't go for second best"
and don't accept a thing from me
So all we did was argue
till there was nothing left to say
We both agreed it would be better to go our seperate way

You see, your mum and I
She was busy with her career
while I was busy getting by
Then time passes suddenly
we are past 40 and the chance has passed us by
and the glow of youth has dimmed now
and the hormones and energy are gone
and that is when the flame died
and you were never born
you were never born
